Other important news...

I have had my final shots. I now weigh 18 lbs! I was about 6 lbs when Mom and Dad got me @ 8 weeks. I was 11 lbs 11 oz. @ 11 weeks, now at 14 weeks I am 18 lbs. At this rate, I'll need an extra large crate in no time. The bad thing is that I can't be picked up and carried everywhere, and the couch cuddling is pretty much out. Oh well! I'll be big enough to jump that babygate and get the cat soon...

We all may have to adjust...

Okay, I may have to adjust my need for up to the minute news delivery. It's probably okay if Mom updates my blog every week instead of every 5 minutes. I am pretty busy. I have been meeting all my neighbors (humans and dogs). I am great with people, but kind of a chicken if another dog barks at me. I am now sleeping "through the night", about 7 hours is my max at night. Since Mom gets up so early, I just wake Dad up when her alarm goes off - nice, huh? Mom and Dad are learning to adjust their schedule for me, but occasionally I have to be patient. Sometimes I really want to play or investigate outside when they need to do something else. We'll figure it out. Here are some pictures of me inspecting the jobsite and visiting with Aunt Tracy.

Up to the Minute...

So...Dad has really needed my help. I spend all day with him, riding in the truck, digging on the lot, and chasing leaves. Mom comes by the lot and picks me up in the evenings. We play and clean up and cook dinner for Dad. I am almost sleeping through the night. I can go 5 - 51/2 hours until I need to relieve myself. Dad gets up with me during the week so Mom can sleep, but Mom does weekend duty. I am starting to do longer walks. I get a little nervous when we are too far from the house, but Mom and Dad know that I will gain more confidence. I love to meet new animals - of any kind. They are a little nervous about the fact that I have no fear of most things, but Dad knows that I'll figure it out sooner or later. I am really smart. I have started to play ball, love to chew wood (firewood, not furniture), and can sit on command. Everybody loves me...I am the fire department mascot, and I hang out with Karen in the town office some afternoons. Alright, I can't think of anything else just now, so I'm going to go sleep. Bye!

Grandma and Grandpa LOVE me!

Nana and Poppa (that's what Logan and Ivy call them) came to see me on New Year's Day. They stayed for a week. Nana says I can come to Texas to visit her. That means Mom and Dad would have to drive, but I love road trips! Poppa played with me all the time...I remind him of somebody named Tina. Nana brought me to my new vet with Mom on 1/3. I didn't like the thermometer, but was okay for the shot. Those were my second shots. I will have to go back 2 more times, but I can handle it. I still hate the bath thing. Mom tried the tub with the removable shower head, but I wasn't going for it.

Mom may be fired...

HI! I may have to fire Mom as my head writer - who does she think she's working for, the Writer's Guild? I have had a busy January...wait and I'll tell you.
